Mike Bologna, Senior Partner - Emerging Communications Director
North America

Based in New York, USA

Fresh out of college, Mike began his career at Mediaedge:cia in 1998 as an Assistant Media Planner working on the US Army account. After 11 months he was promoted to Media Planner in 1999.

For the next year, Mike worked on the AT&T account in the Strategic Planning department before joining the company's new online offering, MEC Interaction, in 2000. Mike spent the next two years with MEC Interaction as a Digital Strategist and was responsible for managing the online investments of some of the agency's largest clients including Xerox and Campbells Soup Company.

By early 2002, MEC saw a need to integrate the multiple areas of emerging communications platforms with the convergence of online and traditional media offerings. Mike's passion for emerging technologies led to his being appointed MEC's first Emerging Communications Manager, a role he carried in addition to his MEC Interaction duties. In this capacity, Mike created the industry's first "living room of the future", the EC Studio, which gives clients a hands-on look at the progress and development of a full range of advanced media applications.

In 2003, Mike was appointed Director of Emerging Media Communications, enabling him to devote his energies to helping client navigate these new technologies. Currently, Mike develops marketing and advertising applications for MEC clients on advanced digital platforms, including interactive television, video on-demand, DVR, and wireless. As more and more clients choose to explore these new platforms, Mike helps them identify suitable partners and manages their initiatives to maximize learning, ROI and client satisfaction.
